This stunning German Splendex Mantle Clock is just a dream to look at and exudes all the style that Lady Swish could wish for in her bedchamber. When they were travelling around Europe in their camper van, at some point they made it all the way up to Norway. Despite knowing that Scandinavians are often much taller than their other Europeans counterparts, she found a very tiny antique shop in Norway that she was certain no true Norwegian would be able to stand up straight in. Amongst the traditional trolls and curious crafts, stood this small heavily gilded clock, covered in dust and definitely ready for a new home. They took it back to their house in England sneezing from the layers of dust, and it has remained a treasured possession ever since.
Specification
This gilded mantle clock is fully working and was made in Germany c. 1930’s. It makes for a great little time keeper – easy to change the time (unlike the oven) and wind up.
